Would a TV cause higher electricity bills?

  • September 20, 2010 9:18 pm

I am trying to lower my electricity bill.
I have HDTV and it says 123 watts.
I watch TV around 15-20 hours per week.

How much should I expect?

Wow, that’s really not much. Your TV uses 0.123kW per hour

In a month your TV uses about 10 kW-h ( .123 x 20 x 4 ) if your electricity cost is 18 cents per kW-h then it would cost $1.80 a month for your TV fix.
