cheaper electic is hard to find. Most municipalities have a pseudo-government controlled monopoly.
My suggestion is getting better windows with low e glass. Doing that has saved me 60% on my electic bill. (if you live near me I can suggest a GREAT company).
keep lights off in unoccupied rooms. same with radios and TV’s. How old is your refridgerator? that sucks a lot of power.
turn off your computer or at least the monitor when you are not using it. dont leave empty cell phone chargers (or other things) plugged in when not in use.
look at your attic insulation.
changing your power usage can be costly at first (new windows 14 total cost me about $5,300) and a fridge runs about 600, but the money i’ve saved on my power bill has made up the differance. Also many electric companies will give you rebates if you prove to them you have more energy efficient appliances/windows
plus if it’s a safe neighborhood you can open your upstairs windows at night rather than run the AC
