How do you find out what your tarrif is because i have an energy meter and need to fill in this information. It asks for a tarrif number like 10p but i dont know how to calculate it

Generally speaking, gas-fired central heating is cheaper and more efficient than electric heaters, but it’s impossible to give a quote on how much cheaper. It will depend on the size of the home and the age/efficiency of the boiler – a very old boiler may cost more to run than newly fitted electric heaters. When you look at homes with central heating, ask the landlord/vendor how recently the boiler was installed.
