I do 1 load of laundry a day (approx) and line dry outside. Do you think given how much water and electricity bills are, that using the biggest machines at the launderette is cheaper. I think my launderette charges £4 and I can fit about 2 loads in.
I can walk to the launderette; its 5 mins away although admittedly hard work with a bag full of washing.
As least you know what’s been in your washing machine! Just imagine your smalls going in after some scabby old farts!!
Given the increase in utility bills (water, electricity) is it more economical to use the launderette instead?

No, I wouldn’t think so. It certainly won’t be so convenient either.

not if you have to drive it there!

No. Laundrettes use the same utilities then add profit to get thier prices. At home you don’t charge yourself to do the laundry so you save that money.

probably not. you have to add in the cost of transportation and gas to get there, not to mention the extra time it’s gonna take to get there, wait for other people to go, watch you stuff to make sure everything works correctly, and don’t forget that there could be some pervert waiting there to steal your unmentionables…

Generally launderette are more costly if your doing that much laundry a week.

No I used wash at a launderette, and my parents owned a Laundromat. The amount of money you spend in wash and dry will not match what you spend on electricity. You will spend more a day than you would a home. Wash are set on 20-30 minute cycles. Dry are set from 8-15 minutes cycle. If you want to truly find out do one week at the laundry. Check to see what you spent that week. Multiply that by 4, that is what you will spend in a month (Approx.) Check that against your elec. /water bill.
