utility companies charge a lot for the electricity bills? i live in texas and the bills are not the most reasonable. so why all the noise of cheap electricity? why such bull hype? are all the utility companies owned by a parent company? can someone pls answer my question? thanks.

What you’re hearing on the news is about research efforts to try to create cheap electricity, not about cheap electricity already out on the market.

Unfortunately, the only technology currently available that is capable of producing cheap electricity is nuclear. Even though nationwide nuclear power plants would produce cheap, clean, and safe power, the environmentalists that complain about our polluting coal plants are the same idiots that have effectively blocked development of new nuclear plants, the only economically feasible solution to the coal plant problem.
